As expected of a pair of DJ headphones, the earcups of the HDJ-C70 can rotate up or down, thus allowing the DJ to listen to their mix as well as to hear what is going on around them. In fact Pioneer seems to boast that the earcups can move into 15 different positions vertically, and that they can rotate as much as 90-degrees.
The headphones themselves will feature 40mm drivers with neodymium magnets, copper-clad aluminum wire voice coils, and 2,000mW of input capacity. While they’re not noise cancelling headphones, they are noise isolating thanks to a special “air chamber” in the earcups.
Priced at $240, the Pioneer HDJ-C70 will come with a 1.6m straight cord which can be swapped for a 1m coiled cord, depending on their needs, a carrying pouch, a screwdriver for cord replacement, and also a plug adapter.
