Well the good news is that if you’re looking for something a bit more versatile, you might be interested to learn that Philips has recently announced the Fidelio B5 soundbar. The Fidelio B5 can act as a soundbar but users will also be able to split it up thanks to its detachable speakers.
What this means is that users will be able to use the detached speakers and place it in more strategic locations, thanks to the fact that the speakers are connected via Bluetooth. Unfortunately the middle portion cannot be detached and has to remain connected to a power source, but as for the two detachable speakers, Philips claims that they can last up to five hours.
The main bar will also be able to support Bluetooth aptX and AAC playback, and will also come with NFC connectivity that will allow for easy pairing with smartphones or tablets. The speakers will also feature 3-inch full range drivers, soft dome tweeters, and will support Dolby Digital and Dolby Pro Logic II audio outputs. Priced at 799 Euro, it is expected to be made available this October.
