PayPal appears to be one of them and the company has since taken out a newspaper ad in which they question the security of Apple Pay, and have also made a subtle jab at Apple and the recent scandal regarding leaked nude selfies of celebrities which were apparently stolen from their iCloud accounts.
As you can see in the ad, it reads “We the people want our money safer than our selfies.” Perhaps it is possible that PayPal could be more secure than Apple Pay, although Apple Pay’s real world use and testing has yet to commence on a wider scale. However it should be noted that despite PayPal’s jab, the company has no problems allowing its service to be used as a payment option for iTunes and App Store purchases.
It has been speculated that perhaps PayPal had wanted a slice of the Apple Pay pie and their ad is an attempt to bring Apple back to the table for discussions. Either way what do you guys think? Do you agree that PayPal is a more secure option than Apple Pay? Or do you think that both are equally secure and have their uses?
