On September 17th the much awaited new iteration of Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS 8, was released for all supported iPhone, iPad and iPod touch models. Even though the download size came in at 1.1GB over 5GB of free space was required on the device just for iOS 8 to be installed. This forced many users to delete countless apps and transfer content just so they could have ample space on the device. Microsoft saw this as an opportunity and pounced on it, promising 30GB of free OneDrive storage.
It should be kept in mind though that Microsoft is only doing this for a limited time. Those who are able to sign up in time will receive 30GB of free OneDrive store. First they have to download the OneDrive for iOS app on their device.
Once that’s done simply sign up for Microsoft’s cloud storage service and enable the auto upload feature for the camera roll. This needs to be done by the end of September and the user will receive 30GB of free OneDrive storage, that’s 15GB base offered to everyone plus 15GB bonus for activating the auto upload feature for camera roll.
Don’t worry though if you’re not an iPhone user. This offer is also valid for all OneDrive camera roll users on Windows Phone, Android and Windows. They’ll also see their storage being increased, and so will existing iPhone users who already automatically back up their photos to OneDrive.
