In case you were living under a rock over the summer you might have heard about Luis Suárez chomping down the shoulder of an Italian footballer, Giorgio Chiellini, in the final group stage match that would have sent the losing team home. He was subsequently banned from the sport for four months. Since he can’t make an appearance in a real-life game, don’t expect to see Luis Suárez in the FIFA 15 game until he sits out his ban, because it extends to the video game as well.
The footballer is missing from FIFA 15 and won’t be available until October 26th, that’s when his ban ends in real-life, only then will gamers be able to play with him on the virtual field.
Eurogamer notes that when you take over as the manager of FC Barcelona in the career mode you immediately receive an email from the board informing you that Luis Suárez is serving a suspension and will not be available for selection until October 26th.
Even though the footballer is listed in the FIFA Ultimate Team Transfer Market searching for him will return no items, he’ll be unavailable there as well until the ban ends. It will be possible to play with him in the Kick-Off mode but he’ll be listed as suspended in the reserves if the Match day Experience option is on.
