A few weeks back the Samsung Galaxy Alpha was unveiled, its a new smartphone from the Korean juggernaut that touts a metal build. Soon after it was announced we heard rumors that Samsung has as many as three new A series phones in the pipeline which will follow the Alpha’s design and build philosophy. All three are expected to be released by the end of this year. A new rumor about these devices claims that all three will have support for LTE.
Its an interesting rumor because at least one of these three A series phones is believed to be a low-end device which generally don’t have LTE capability. According to Sammobile’s sources the tentative monikers for these three devices are Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 with each being priced between $350-$400, $400-450 and $450-$500 respectively.
Apparently the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 will be widely released around the world but the Galaxy A7 will only be released in limited markets. The reason for this could be Samsung’s fears that the Galaxy A7 may cannibalize the sales of Galaxy Alpha which is why to avoid that scenario it may release the A7 in limited markets around the world.
No official word as yet when the three devices will be released, the third-quarter is believed to be a possibility.
