So what will that amount of money get you? Well for starters the camera will sport a Micro Four Thirds sensor and will come with a Leica DC Vario-Summilux f/1.7-2.8 24-75mm lens attached to it. This is a rather bright lens and we can’t help but think of the Sony RX100 III which also comes with a fast lens in a compact body.
The camera will also come with an ISO range that will go as high as 25,600 and a 2.8MP electronic viewfinder, WiFi capabilities, and also video recording of 4K videos. The specs of the new Leica D-Lux aren’t exactly groundbreaking although we have to admit that Leica has done a good job of packaging the camera into a pretty sleek body.
The camera will also be getting an app of its own in the form of the Leica Image Shuttle app that will allow users to transfer photos from the camera to iOS or Android smartphones either using the WiFi module or NFC. It is expected to be made available starting in November via authorized Leica dealers.
