iwatch-component-2According to a report earlier today, alleged schematics of the iWatch were leaked online. Of course there is no way of telling if the schematics of the device are the real deal especially since anyone can come up with diagrams that are similar using similar programs or using Photoshop.

That being said, one of the alleged features of the iWatch is said to be wireless charging and while that remains to be seen, former Apple Senior Mechanical Engineer of Product Design Abraham Farag has since “confirmed” that if the schematics are the real deal, then yes, wireless charging will be an iWatch feature.

He claims that in order for the device to support wireless charging, it will require an internal coil and based on what he’s seen from the schematics, there does indeed appear to be a coil which would corroborate earlier rumors of the feature. Given that Apple has several patents related to wireless charging, at the very least we can assume that Apple is interested in the technology.

Farag goes on to state that the rendering of the “skin contact plate” could be used to measure heartbeat, skin temperature, sweat levels, or oxygen in the bloodstream. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now but with only hours to go until Apple makes it official, we guess we’ll just have to remain patient and wait for the official details.
