Earlier this week, we did manage to spot the iPhone 6 on a Geekbench benchmark that showed off a dual core processor alongside 1GB RAM, but since the latest Apple smartphone has been released, with all of its bells and whistles officially specified, how does it perform in terms of its capability? What could very well be the first iPhone 6 benchmark results have surfaced, hailing from the GPU testing Basemark X suite.
In the released benchmark results, the iPhone 6 managed to pick up 21,204 points, which is a wee bit better than that of its predecessor that clocked up a score of 20,253. Do bear in mind that the iPhone 6 makes use of the most recent A8 processor that will run on a dual-core 1.4GHz Cyclone CPU alongside an unknown GPU.
In order not to read too much into the benchmark results, one can more or less take a stab in the dark that the Basemark X result points to a possible hexa-core PowerVR G6630 GPU in action, since the performance shown is not exactly revolutionary or groundbreaking in any way. After all, the Samsung Galaxy S5 managed to rack up 23,501 points using its Adreno 330 GPU and screen of higher 1080p resolution. What do you think of the iPhone 6 so far?
