However understandably with software improvements and a new A8 processor, perhaps size might not matter since it would be able to use the battery more efficiently, right? Well thanks to the folks at PhoneArena, they have managed to test out both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus’ battery and have since found it a tad lacking when compared to the competition, some of which are older devices.
As you can see in the image above, the iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6 aren’t exactly sitting very high in the charts. The iPhone 6 Plus comes in fifth place and sits behind the recently announced Sony Xperia Z3, the Huawei Ascend Mate 7, the Samsung Galaxy S5, and the HTC One M8. As for the iPhone 6, it sits in 9th place behind the likes of the LG G3, the Galaxy Note 3 (from 2013), and the new Moto X.
While these numbers are discouraging, they shouldn’t be taken as fixed simply because we all use our phones in different ways from one another. A person who texts a lot might find that their phones lasts longer than those who use it to play games and watch videos. Either way we’ll be doing our own review of the new iPhones down the road, so do check back with us at a later date for our own conclusion.
