There have been rumors that suggests that Apple could be gearing up for an iPad launch in October. While the 21st of October is a date that has been floated, it apparently will not be happening, but perhaps another date could be likely which is what Taiwan’s Commerical Times (via MacRumors) seems to think.
According to the report, they claim that Apple is expected to launch the new iPad Air 2 in October and that it is scheduled to enter production this month. Unfortunately they did not mention any specific dates so we guess we’ll just have to keep our eyes peeled. However the report goes on to note that the there is a chance the third-gen iPad mini might not launch alongside the iPad Air 2.
Instead they claim that Apple could choose to launch the third-gen iPad mini in early 2015 followed by the rumored 12.9-inch iPad Pro in Q2 2015. It is unclear as to why Apple might delay the third-gen iPad mini, but for a moment in time there were rumors and speculation that Apple could be thinking of discontinuing the tablet.
In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but we will be keeping our eyes peeled for additional information so do check back with us at a later date for the details.
