Less than a week ago Apple finally released iOS 8 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Like almost all major software releases before it iOS 8 does appeared to be plagued by a few glitches. This is hardly alarming as we get to see such behavior almost every year when a new iteration of Apple’s mobile platform is released. Some users who have updated to the new software complain about Wi-Fi and battery life issues among others.
Apple’s official support forums are filled with complaints regarding Wi-Fi performance issues and connectivity problems. Some users find that the Wi-Fi connection intermittently drops after upgrading to iOS 8, others say that they’re irked with speed issues on Wi-Fi which start off fine but then slow down to a proverbial crawl after a few minutes.
Some users are complaining about excessive battery drain after updating to iOS 8. One person claimed that with minimal usage his device was barely giving him four hours on a full charge. Another describes his woes along the same lines, noticing excessive drain on both his and his wife’s iPhone 5.
So far Apple has not acknowledged that iOS 8 is plagued by glitches and that its working on a fix. People who taken with Apple support were told to do a fresh software restore on their devices but that doesn’t seem to have had any effect. Have you faced any such issue after updating your device to iOS 8?
