When it comes to smartphones, most of the time we would only see one particular model arrive in a bevy of colors at best, but to hear of various editions hitting the newswires start to make it sound as though we are talking about a Nintendo console. We did make mention of the HTC One (M8) Hydra Edition late last week, and here we are with the HTC One (M8) Champions League Collector’s Edition.
For those who are not in the know, the Champions League happens to be the premier football competition in the world (soccer to the Americans), with many claiming that the quality on display is a whole lot more enthralling and breathtaking to look at compared to the World Cup. Hence, to hear of the flagship HTC device get bestowed with such an honor is definitely something.
Commemorating the kickoff of the Champions League group stage today, the HTC One (M8) Champions League Collector’s Edition was announced, where it comes with the UEFA Champions League logo engraved on its back in addition to that of the much sought after Champions League trophy that no team has won back-to-back in the modern version. Other than that, everything else remains the same underneath the hood as the normal HTC One (M8).
You cannot purchase the HTC One (M8) Champions League Collector’s Edition no matter how much your bank balance is, since HTC is supposedly giving it away as a competition prize through its social media channels.
