The world of wearable technology does see plenty of different hardware being released from time to time, where there are smart glasses and smart watches, not to mention fitness trackers for health buffs who want to keep track on the number of calories that they have burned throughout the day. Having said that, Ematic, a name that is more often than not associated with extremely affordable Android-powered tablets, is priming itself to introduce a brand new fitness tracker after it has appeared over on the FCC earlier this week.
The Ematic TrackBand SB312, as it is known, is capable of counting steps, tracking the amount of distance traveled, as well as make an estimate on the number of calories burned. Not only that, it is also capable of tracking sleep quality. This Ematic TrackBand sports a tiny display which will deliver all of the most recent results for you to see, and you can also have it function as a watch courtesy of a time view.
In addition, there is also a built-in alarm clock function which will see the band vibrate whenever the appointed time arrives, while the light will flash as the alarm goes off. Expect the Ematic Trackband to play nice with Android or iOS devices via Bluetooth, although pricing details have yet to be determined.
