BlackBerry will only release two high-end smartphones this year, on September 24th it is going to formally unveil one of those devices, the BlackBerry Passport. A few months back it confirmed that the Classic is the second device and it will hit the market in November. The company has focused a lot on the Passport’s features and specifications over the past few months and it is yet to shine the spotlight on the Classic. Nonetheless several pictures of this smartphone have now appeared online.
It has not been confirmed as yet if BlackBerry intends on holding a separate event of the Classic when its due to be released. November is the expected timeframe that was provided earlier this year, there exists the possibility that BlackBerry might amend the schedule.
The pictures were first posted on Weibo which we have all come to know as China’s Twitter. Looks like they originate from somewhere in Asia where usually most leaks appear online for the first time before they’re picked up by other publications.
BlackBerry Classic is a device meant for the company’s loyalists that weren’t happy when the trackpad and key belt were removed in the BlackBerry Q10. Classic does include a touchscreen but also brings back the trackpad and key belt to appease those customers. It is said to have a 1.5Ghz Snapdragon S4 processor with 2GB RAM and a 3.5-inch display.
Check out the pictures in the gallery attached below and let us know if it convinces you to wait until November!
