AT&T Galaxy Alpha Released

We had heard a lot of rumors earlier this year that Samsung was working on a new device that has a metal body. A few weeks back the company finally showed off the Galaxy Alpha. At first the device was only released in a handful of markets around the world, including European markets across the pond, and many had wondered if it’ll make its way to the U.S. We heard last week that AT&T will bring the device and now the AT&T Galaxy Alpha has been released.

Customers who are willing to put down their money for this metal-touting smartphone can purchase a unit either from the carrier’s website or through its retail stores. AT&T Galaxy Alpha is being offered in black, white and gold colors.

With a two year service contract customers will have to pay $199.99. It is also possible to purchase the device on AT&T Next installment plan. On the carrier’s Next 18 plan customers will have to make equal monthly installments of $25.55 for 24 months. On the Next 12 program they’ll have to make installments of $30.65 for 20 months. Those who are willing to pay the full retail price will have to put down $613.

If this seems a bit steep worry not. Samsung is reportedly working on as many as three new devices that follow in the footsteps of the Galaxy Alpha, and the high-end Galaxy A7 may be priced less than $500 at full retail.
