That being said, Samsung and other OEMs have learnt from this and have released watches with a more decent battery life, but what about Apple? Apple’s iPhones are notorious for their subpar battery life, so could those problems be brought over to the iWatch? Well according to a report from The Information, they claimed that their sources have spoken to Apple’s employees who have reportedly set low expectations when it comes to the iWatch’s battery life.
This seems to somewhat in line with a tweet by 9to5Mac’s Seth Weintraub about a week ago. According to Weintraub, he had heard third hand that the iWatch’s battery is said to be less than 24 hours and that the watch looked more techie than fashionable, which is a little odd given Apple’s recent hires from the fashion industry. However as he notes, this is third hand information which might be unreliable.
In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but word has it that we could hear more about the iWatch at Apple’s event on the 9th of September, although availability is said to be pushed to 2015. Either way do check back with us then for the details, but what do you guys think? Would a subpar battery life put you off the device?
