Well according to Apple’s CEO Tim Cook, the Cupertino company was simply biding its time for the right moment, which apparently is now. Speaking to Charlie Rose in a PBS interview that is scheduled to air later today, Cook was quoted as saying that Apple could have easily done a larger iPhone years ago.
However Cook adds, “It’s never been about just making a larger phone … it’s been about making a better phone in every single way. And so we ship things when they’re ready, and we think that both the display technology here, the battery technology, but all — but everything else and the software.”
It is true that sometimes Apple is “late” to the market with features that many have considered a standard, like front-facing cameras for example, although oddly enough it seems that despite Apple’s lateness, many have lauded the company’s attempts which seems to have gotten them more attention than those who arrived first.
Either way we guess iPhone fans should be pleased with these new larger-sized iPhones, but what do you guys think? Is this a better late than never situation, or do you think it’s too late for Apple?
