amazon-prime-androidIt looks like the folks over at Amazon have finally introduced its Instant Video App to the Android mobile operating system. In other words, one is now able to stream not only movies, but also TV shows as well from Amazon Instant Video all the way to an Android-powered smartphone or tablet. In other words, this would encompass all of the videos that you have already purchased as well as rented before from Amazon, in addition to a slew of videos that have been made available to those who happen to subscribe to Amazon Prime.

However, it must be noted that in order to use Amazon Instant Video on Android, it is not all that easy as installing just a solitary app. One would actually require a couple of different apps. Firstly, there is the Amazon app, which will be followed by the Amazon Instant Video app. Just make sure that you have at least version 5.0 of the Amazon app for Android as the newer versions do replicate or replace a slew of functions of the Amazon Appstore.

For those who are unable to check out the latest version of the Amazon app over in the Play Store, fret not. There is a solution to this dilemma, where you can download and install the Amazon Appstore manually, followed by using the installed Appstore to download the Amazon and Amazon Instant Video apps.
