Another day, another tablet is introduced under the Android banner of mobile operating systems, and it is ALCATEL ONETOUCH that is behind the HERO 8 tablet this time around. You can more or less tell from the product name itself that the HERO 8 will sport an 8” display, no two ways about it, and ALCATEL ONETOUCH has marketed it to be a kind of tablet that is ideal when it comes to gaming, downloading and watching movies, while not forgetting about the staple of tablets, that is, to browse through the Web with ease, all without compromising on performance one single bit.
The ALCATEL ONETOUCH HERO 8 is one extremely slim device, as it measures just 7.3mm in terms of thickness and carries a weight of 310 grams, making it one of the slimmest and lightest tablets that are on the market. Sporting a stylish aluminium body, your eyes will definitely appreciate the wide and comfortable 8-inch display.
Underneath the hood of the HERO 8 lies a superfast octa-core processor that enables smooth music and video streaming; and it is also a Miracast-certified device so that you have the option to transmit video or audio files on the tablet straight to a TV or monitor, all without the need for wires or having to hook it up to a router. Heck, you can even turn the HERO 8 into a universal remote control, thanks to the TV Mate feature. There is no word on pricing, but we do know that the HERO 8 will arrive in selected markets later this month. [Press Release]
