Acer Aspire R 13 And R 14 Series Laptops Announced

It seems that Acer is not content with just announcing their new Aspire Switch series because the company has also taken the wraps off their new Aspire R 13 and R 14 laptops. The R 13 laptops are particularly interesting because its display is supported on what Acer is calling an Ezel Aero Hinge.

As you can see in the image above, it allows the display of the laptop to be adjusted at different angles, and according to Acer, it can also be used to help bring the display closer to the user’s face which could come in handy for certain situations. The R 13 laptops will also come in either Full HD or WQHD resolutions, depending on your preference, and will also pack Intel Core i5 or i7, once again depending on your needs.

The laptop will also be able to support SSD storage up to 1TB and 8GB of RAM, although we reckon this could get pretty expensive. The laptops will also come with Dolby Digital Plus Home Theatre audio technology, so for those who are particular about their sound, then this could be a laptop worth checking out. The Aspire R 13 laptops will be available this October where it will be priced starting at $899.99.

Moving on, we have the Aspire R 14 series which is expected to be available this October as well and will be priced starting from $599.99. The R 14 laptops will sport a 14-inch display with a resolution of 1366×768. It also comes with Zero Air Gap technology which Acer claims will help to eliminate the reflections in sunlight, as well as offer up better contrast and crisper images.

Users will be able to choose between Intel Core i3, i5, or i7 configurations and will also be able to install as much as 12GB of RAM. In terms of storage, there are 500GB or 1TB options and for those looking for some graphics power, there will be some models that supports the NVIDIA GeForce 820M GPU.
