There is nothing quite like an app on your mobile device that will let you know whether a particular local eating establishment is worth dropping by or not, especially if you happen to be a tourist in that particular area. Having said that, if you are visiting a country whose language you do not speak, the local reviews might be in a language that you would not understand – and that happens with Yelp. At least until now, as Yelp intends to offer translation for its mobile app. In a nutshell, clicking on a button will be able to translate the reviews to a language that you can understand.
Of course, do not expect the translation to be perfect, but it should be legible and understandable enough for you to be able to figure out whether you would still like to drop by and give your tastebuds a go or not. Needless to say, there is always the classic backup that you can fall back upon, and that is, to check out the local ratings.
Do bear in mind that this particular feature will only work alongside the 15 languages which is supported by Yelp, and they are English, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish. It will enlist the help of Bing Translator instead of Google.
