Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G Arrives

The Xiaomi Redmi Note has come under scrutiny at the end of last month, where the smartphone allegedly sends user data all the way back to China. First announced in March this year, the value-for-money 5.5” device did not sport 4G support back then. This time around, there is a new variant of the Xiaomi Redmi Note that will carry 4G connectivity underneath the hood, in addition to having a change of processor as well as carrying double the amount of RAM within.

This means the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G will no longer run on an octa-core 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 processor, but rather, would work things out using its quad-core 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 processor. As for the 1GB RAM, that too, is no longer part of the deal, since it is now carrying 2GB RAM.

As for its internal memory, that will still remain at 8GB a pop, although those who prefer to take advantage of its microSD memory card slot will now be able to plop in a 64B microSD memory card instead of being limited to just 32GB in the past. Apart from that, this one will feature a single SIM card slot now, so forget about carrying two lines on a single device.
