Now Windows Phone has typically been trailing both iOS and Android in terms of apps and is probably not even half of the iTunes App Store or Google Play yet, but so far they have been making progress and the good news for Windows Phone fans is that according to Microsoft, they are boasting that the Windows Phone Store has crossed the 300,000 mark.
Back in 2013, Microsoft boasted over 200,000 apps, and speaking at their Worldwide Partner Conference in July last month, Microsoft revealed that they had over 270,000 apps, so we guess it looks like they have managed to break the 300,000 mark in less than a year. Hopefully the rate at which they are growing will increase and they will finally be able to catchup to iOS and Android in the not-so-distance future.
We’re sure some of you guys are wondering why does anyone need that many apps? Well we suppose it’s the idea of knowing that there are apps out there u can download if you want. You might only end up using a fraction, but it’s good to know that there’s an app out there for a specific task if you were to ever need it.
