It pays to perform some sort of spring cleaning from time to time – after all, it is always good to streamline stuff after a while, since one might get bogged down by the unnecessary as the clock ticks. Having said that, Microsoft has decided to merge three of their official blogs, all into one single Blogging Windows site.
According to Microsoft’s Brandon LeBlanc, this particular move was kicked off in order to further streamline operations, not to mention reduce this thing called redundancy on their blog network. Content that can be read on the Windows Phone blog will now be seen over on the Blogging Windows site, where it will also carry content from the Windows Experience Blog and Extreme Windows Blog.
LeBlanc did stress, however, that Blogging Windows will also continue to boast of Windows Phone content, where among them include stuff such as major announcements, new apps and games for the OS, among others. In fact, Blogging Windows will also now feature a special kind of filter for those who simply want to read all about Windows Phone happenings.
LeBlanc shared, “If you just want to see blog posts for Windows Phone, just choose the ‘Phone’ category and hit the apply button. This will sort everything that is relevant for Windows Phone for you. It will also provide you with an RSS feed you can subscribe to in your favorite RSS reader (I highly recommend Nextgen Reader). For anyone who was subscribed to the RSS for the Windows Phone Blog, we have put in place a redirect that will continue to update with posts relevant only for Windows Phone so you don’t need to do anything.” [Press Release]
