The Sims 4 Recommended PC Specs Are A Little Higher Than Expected

the sims 4Given the success of the previous titles in The Sims’ franchise, we’re sure there are plenty of gamers out there who can’t wait to get their hands on The Sims 4. The game has been pegged for a release on the 2nd of September which is next week, but in the meantime does your computer have what it takes to run the game smoothly?

According to The Sims official website, the recommended hardware specifications for the game have been revealed. The developers are recommending that gamers run either Windows 7, 8, or 8.1. They are also recommending an Intel Core i5 or better processor, or an AMD Athlon X4 for those who use AMD’s chipsets. 4GB of RAM is also recommended to run the game smoothly, and with at least 9GB of hard drive space for installation, and an extra 1GB for additional custom content and saved games.

In terms of GPU, the developers are recommended an NVIDIA GTX 650 or better. Interestingly enough it seems that the game has pretty high hardware requirements, at least for a game of its genre, although EA has mentioned in the past that they will be upgrading the technology for The Sims 4 so perhaps that might explain the higher requirements.

So if you have all of those specs, or perhaps even better, then you should have no problems running the game, but if you don’t, you could always try running the game at the bare minimum settings or perhaps it’s time you considered making some upgrades.
