The handset will also be available via KDDI in Japan as well as other carriers in South Asia, although HTC did not mention if the HTC Butterfly 2 will be making its way stateside, but from the looks of it, it does not seem to be the case for now. So, what kind of specs can customers look forward to?
Well for starters, the phone will sport a 5-inch Full HD display. It will also feature BoomSound speakers that can also be found on the HTC One M8 and for the most part, the phone has specs one can expect from a flagship phone, although HTC does appear to be highlighting the phone’s camera capabilities with the HTC Butterfly 2.
The HTC Butterfly 2 will sport a Duo Camera setup with a 13MP rear-facing camera with dual-flash, Full HD 1080p video, and a depth-sensor that allows the phone to take Lytro-like photos. The front-facing camera will be of the 5MP variety. The phone will also come equipped with HARMAN’s LiveStage signal processing technology, so for those who prioritize their smartphone’s sound, this could be the phone for you.
Pricing has yet to be determined although this will vary from carrier to carrier and depending on which country you’re in, but if this sounds like a phone you could be interested in, you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled for it.
