Magenta is on a mission to steal away subscribers from rival carriers and in this mission it is now enlisting millions of its own subscribers. Today it announced a new promotion under which it is offering a year’s worth of free LTE data if you get your friends to switch to T-Mobile from a rival network. The unlimited LTE data will be provided to you at no extra charge.
That’s not all though. T-Mobile also sweetens the deal for those who leave their carriers. They will also receive unlimited LTE data for a full year as well, giving them a major incentive to consider jumping ship. The deal is valid if a subscriber leaves Verizon, AT&T or Sprint for T-Mobile.
Those Magenta subscribers who already have unlimited LTE data on their Simple Choice plans will receive $10 credit every month for 12 months when their friends switch from any other carrier. The form has gone live on T-Mobile’s referral page. You will need to punch in your own T-Mobile number as well as the number that has been brought over by someone you referred. The referral has to be reported within 30 days after the friend’s line has been activated, unlimited LTE service for both will start that month.
T-Mobile has seen a substantial increase in its subscribers due to the steps it has taken over the past year. The carrier’s uncarrier initiatives have also been very lucrative in terms of bringing new subscribers over from rivals.
