About a week ago, Microsoft issued a firmware update to their Surface tablets as part of their Patch Tuesday routine. Well if you were looking forward to the next update, you might be pleased to learn that Microsoft has since issued a new update for Surface Pro 3 users which might be greatly appreciated.
The update comes in the form of a BIOS update and according to the update page, it reads, “Surface Pro UEFI (v3.9.150.0) adds features to display BIOS password state and asset tag information, as well as improving boot times in some scenarios.” This means that users can look forward to faster boot times on their tablets. The update might not be as significant as the one last week and appears to contain only one change (no mention of bug fixes).
We’re not sure how many of you guys will actually notice the faster boot times, but we guess it will be a welcome update to know that your Surface Pro 3 tablet will now boot up faster than normal. For those who have already downloaded and installed the update, have you guys noticed anything changes with the boot time of your tablet post-update? Let us know in the comments below on how it is treating you!
