Spint Moto X Receives Android 4.4.4 KitKat Soak Test

Whenever a mobile carrier wants to roll out a new version of the firmware or operating system, some of them start to move in the direction of a soak test – which is, to release the firmware update to an extremely limited number of users, so that they will be able to be the proverbial guinea pigs, so to speak, prior to a major release. Having said that, the Moto X handset from Sprint looks set to be the next in line to pick up the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update, since a soak test for it has already been discovered.

Apparently, those who happen to own the Moto X and are subscribers of Sprint as well, while being part of the Motorola Feedback Network, have begun to be on the receiving end of the test version of the Moto X’s Android 4.4.4 KitKat update. This is most probably a bug fixing update, as exact details have not been confirmed just yet.

It remains to be seen as to when the official Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for Sprint’s Moto X will be introduced to the masses, but from what we know, if this particular soak test goes on as planned without a single hiccup – or at least, hiccups that are easily solved, it would be sooner rather than later that a new KitKat update will be delivered.
