Sony Xperia Z3 Is 7.3mm Thin
How thin would you like a smartphone to get? Well, I am pretty sure that some folks still retain the notion that a smartphone which is way too thin might actually have its structural integrity compromised by accident – especially if it is slotted into the rear end of your tight jeans pocket, and you plop yourself down on a wooden chair while forgetting the handset is there in the first place. The upcoming Gionee GN9005 is said to be a mere 5mm thin, but Sony’s Xperia Z3 is not that far behind, where a recent CAD drawing leak points to this upcoming handset measuring all of just 7.3mm thin.
Apart from that, the CAD schematics also point to the very real possibility of having the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact arrive in due time, too, as it will keep its larger flagship sibling company. Basically, the revealed dimensions of the Sony Xperia Z3 do seem to make it a different creature compared to its predecessor, the Xperia Z2, being narrower and a whole lot thinner when placed alongside the existing flagship model. Of course, with a chassis that measures 146.46mm x 72.09mm x 7.3mm, it is an even greater wonder that this will, in all probability, continue with its waterproof trademark.
