So we have been hearing rumors that Sony could be getting ready to launch the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, and recently it seems that Sony could have accidentally confirmed the existence of the tablet. This was revealed on the specs page of the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet as you can see in the screenshot above snapped by the folks at gizmobolt.
The page has since been edited and the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact name has been replaced with the Xperia Z2 Tablet. Now we’re sure some of you guys are probably thinking that it could be a typo, and while that could be a possibility, that would make more sense if the tablet was the Xperia Z3 Tablet, as opposed to the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact which has an added word.
That being said the specs of the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is only speculation at this point in time. Last we heard the tablet is expected to sport an 8-inch TRILUMINOS display with a Full HD resolution. It is also expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage.
The tablet is also said to be accompanied by an 8MP rear-facing camera and could be packing a 4,500-5,000mAh battery. There is a good chance that Sony might make an official announcement at IFA 2014 which is kicking off next week, so be sure to check back with us then for the details!
