That’s a relief to know, don’t you think so? After all, you can never quite tell just what folks would do with all of that personal information of yours on the sly. The PlayStation Network was knocked out by a denial-of-service-style attack, where the entire system was overwhelmed with traffic, but thankfully, none of it managed to make inroads into the network, and neither were information from 53 million of its users accessed.
Twitter account @LizardSquad stepped forward to claim responsibility for the attack that happened yesterday, and the whole point of it was to request Sony to throw in additional dough so that the network would be more secure. One post read, “Sony, yet another large company, but they aren’t spending the waves of cash they obtain on their customers’ (PlayStation Network) service. End the greed.”
