While all eyes are on Samsung to unveil the Galaxy Note 4 next month, we have also been hearing rumors about the successor to Samsung’s mid-range line of Galaxy Mega phablets. Today a new leak has emerged online bringing to light what are claimed to be the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 specifications. As expected it will be a device with mid-range specifications and a large display just like the first Galaxy Mega.
The image received by GSMArena lists these alleged specifications of Samsung Galaxy Mega 2. From what we can gather it will have a 6-inch 720×1280 TFT display with a 1.5GHz processor aided by 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. External expansion using microSD cards may also be possible. There is some contradicting information in this latest leak, a previous filing for the Mega 2 mentions 2GB RAM instead of 1.5GB.
A 2.1 megapixel front and 8 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash is also expected. Other features include FM Radio, VoLTE capability, HD Voice, Android 4.4 KitKat and a 2,800mAh battery.
Samsung is yet to say anything about the Galaxy Mega successors. There is no word as yet about the day and date when Samsung is going to announce the Galaxy Mega 2 but until then rest assured because there may very well be more leaks and rumors about this phablet.
