Samsung Galaxy Alpha Specifications Leaked
Earlier this year we started hearing rumors that Samsung is working on a device with a metal body. The company has always stuck with plastic for its flagship Galaxy S series and this rumor led many to believe that perhaps this year the company might stray from tradition. It did not and then we started to hear about a completely different device that was supposedly made out of metal. The device is called Galaxy Alpha and a recently leaked picture shows us all that it may have under the hood.
TecMundo received an image from a source which appears to be some sort of a marketing material for Samsung’s upcoming device. Apparently most of the Galaxy Alpha’s specification are mentioned on it. One has to admit that it does look pretty genuine even though Samsung is yet to officially confirm anything about this device.
Going by this image we find that the Galaxy Alpha touts a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. A 64GB model will reportedly be offered as well, the Galaxy Alpha is believed to not have a microSD card slot. Fingerprint sensor, heart rate monitor, USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0 and LTE are all said to be onboard. A 12 megapixel camera is mentioned as well alongside a 1,860mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat.
The source further adds that the device will be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos octacore processor though the model number has not been provided. No word as yet on availability and price but the launch is expected to take place either in late August or early September.
