An Xbox One launch title and probably one of the most popular games for the new console is making its way to the PC later this year. Today the developer confirmed the Ryse: Son of Rome PC release, adding that the title will be released for the PC this fall. The game isn’t coming courtesy of its original publisher, Microsoft, instead it will be co-published by Deep Silver and Crytek.
Its hard not to notice the trend developing here with Xbox titles that are being ported over to the PC. It was confirmed earlier this year that the Capcom-developed Dead Rising 3, which was published for Xbox by Microsoft, will be released for the PC in September but it will be published by Capcom.
Ryse is the second Xbox One launch title that was released last year and is now going to be on the PC. It is a third-person action game that’s developed by Crytek and set in ancient Rome. As previously mentioned it will be co-published for the PC by Crytek and Deep Silver, the latter only recently took over development of Homefront 2, which was previously a Crytek project.
Ryse: Son of Rome PC release will bring the original game as well as all downloadable extras from the console version. It has also been confirmed that there will be support for 4K resolution. Crytek hasn’t revealed exactly when the title will be released but since its destined for the fall it shouldn’t take more than a couple of months.
