It looks like there is word in the air concerning the launch of new Roku TV models, thanks to the collaboration between Hisense as well as TCL. Similar to their Roku players, Roku TV delivers an exceptional streaming experience that is full of endless entertainment choices. It requires more than just plugging in a Roku player within the TV, as the entire Roku operating system will be used to power the whole TV experience.
In other words, the philosophy of simple and powerful across being distributed across the entire TV is now reality, where all the way from the home screen to the remote control to picture settings, one will be able to enjoy it in your living room. Merging the Roku OS alongside their partners’ respective expertise in TV hardware design, manufacturing and scale, Roku claims that Hisense and TCL offer the smart TV in the market. I am not too sure myself about that particular claim, since there are many other smart TV models in the market, especially those from South Korea that are worth more than just a passing mention.
Features include a personalized home screen which will ensure all of your favorite entertainment options such as the cable TV box, game console and streaming channels remain in the front and center, doing away with the need to flip through inputs. Pricing starts from $229 onward for the 32” TCL model, while Hisense will offer their Roku TVs in 40”, 48”, 50” and 55” models. [Press Release]
