What the app does is that it will help gamers locate game bargains, meaning that you should be able to find all the best deals in one location, as opposed to having to scout individual retailer websites to look for them. As it stands, Razer Cortex will be able to pull data from the likes of Amazon, GameStop, GOG, Green Man Gaming, Steam, and Origin.
Razer expects that in the future they will be adding more stores to the list so that gamers will have a wider selection to choose from. The app will also allow gamers to create wishlists and be notified when the games on their wishlist are on sale. Interestingly enough the app also claims to be able to boost your computer’s gaming performance, although we have yet to put the app through the paces ourselves.
The app has been scheduled for a launch on the 10th of September, although interested users can sign up for an early access event to take the app for a spin ahead of its release. The Razer Cortex will only be able to scan for deals in the US but it is expected to expand its reach in the future as well.
