I am starting to think that Pokémon is yet another gaming franchise that will not die out, and in fact, it is going to be milked for all it is worth – just like Mario as well as other franchises, like Grand Theft Auto. This time around, we have another title that falls under this franchise, where it is going to be called the Pokémon Art Academy. Arriving on the Nintendo 3DS later this October 24th, you can be sure that children everywhere will be on the lookout for it – even under their Christmas trees in December.
The Pokémon Art Academy will welcome those of all ages and skill levels in order to figure out the fine art of drawing some of their favorite Pokémon. Aspiring artists can start off by honing their skills via a string of easy-to-follow lessons, thanks to the tutelage of the esteemed Professor Andy.
In other words, this is not exactly a traditional Pokémon game as you would have it, since there is nothing much to catch here, but rather, it will be a new 2D art-instruction game that will definitely help sell a few more extra units of the Nintendo 3DS. If you do not want to pick it up from the brick and mortar store, there is always the other option of picking it up from the Nintendo eShop. [Press Release]
