Ooloo Voice Assistant App Uses Actual Humans To Perform Searches

Siri, Cortana, Google Now, these are the voice assistant features available on the different smartphone platforms at the moment. For the most part they work great. They can help you schedule certain things on your phone, search for information, and so on. However there are times when it just can’t give you what you need.

This is where Ooloo comes in. Unlike the voice assistant features mentioned above, Ooloo actually relies on real human beings to answer your queries. The service promises users that they will be able to respond to queries in a few seconds or a couple of minutes, depending on the complexity of the query.

The service is free for now and at the moment the team will initially consist of about 50 people. All you’d have to do is leave a voice message and the team behind Ooloo will get back to your ASAP. Granted it’s not as fast as AI, but if your Google-fu isn’t very good, then hopefully the people working at Ooloo will be able to find what you need.

We’re not sure how Ooloo plans on making money since we can only assume that the staff are paid a salary, but perhaps later it could transition into a paid service or we could see ads delivered along with your answers.
