OnePlus “Ladies First” Campaign Pulled
Having a solid marketing campaign will definitely be able to help bring a particular brand or product very far, but there is no such thing as a 100% surefire hit, otherwise, there would be no need to have competition at all. OnePlus, a company that intends to offer you plenty of bang for your hard earned buck with their flagship Android-powered smartphone known as the OnePlus One, recently ran their “Ladies First” campaign, where ladies only were able to participate, as they were asked todraw a OnePlus logo on a piece of paper or your hand/face/wherever, before posting it up on the OnePlus website, leaving the men to vote as to which works best.
The line (pardon the pun) was drawn by OnePlus at nudity, but before this particular marketing campaign was able to kick it off in full swing, it drew plenty of flak from the masses – particularly with regard to such a campaign doing nothing but to objectify women. The protesters do have a point, however, and due to pressure from the community, this particular marketing stunt has been pulled. Hopefully they do happen to have some sort of Plan B to cover up for this snafu. If it had went as planned, however, the top 50 most-well liked ladies will be on the receiving end of an invite to purchase the OnePlus One and a Never Settle t-shirt.
