Netronix hails from Taiwan, and despite the relative obscurity of the company, they happen to be the one behind the design and manufacturing of various devices, the Kobo eReader included. As for its latest prototype 6.8” model, it will sport a resolution count of 1,440 x 1,080 pixels, powered by a Freescale i.MX6 Solo Lite ARM Cortex-A9 processor, and has software which is based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
It remains to be seen whether Netronix intends to roll out a device under the name of its partners, but we could certainly make do with an eReader device that offers support for pressure-sensitive digital pen input. This definitely comes in handy if you need to scribble some notes right there and then before you lose your train of thought.
