In August last year Motorola unveiled the Moto X. The device has done fairly well for itself in the market and now a lot of us are wondering how Motorola is going to follow up on that release. The company itself said earlier this year that the Moto X successor will be released this summer alongside the company’s new smartwatch. While it has yet to provide us with an official announcement date rumor has it that Verizon expects the Moto X+1 on September 25th.
The folks at Droid-life claim to have heard from their sources that Verizon expects the device to land on its network by September 25th. Now that might put it outside of Motorola’s “summer” claim but its possible that other carrier variants might be announced before Verizon’s.
The scribe’s sources don’t say anything about the Moto 360 smartwatch even though it is expected to debut alongside the new smartphone. However it is likely that Motorola will show off the new products together, at least there’s consensus on the rumor mill on this.
Rumors about the Moto X+1’s features and specifications have been plenty but nothing is known for sure at this point in time. Motorola isn’t dropping any hints and has still not confirmed exactly when the official launch is going to take place.
