The Moto G from Motorola has been quite the performer since it was released, and it even gained a 4G LTE version along the way. Well, you know what to do when you have got a winning formula – you do not change it, or just offer some tweaks from time to time. That seems to be the case with the Motorola XT1063 which has been spotted on the GFX Benchmark site, where said site also revealed additional details concerning the hardware specifications of this possible Moto G successor.
It does look as though the Motorola XT1063 is all set to come with a 5” display, complete with a screen resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels. This is a wee bit larger compared to the existing 4.5” display that one can find on the Moto G, but do not be fooled – an extra 0.5” could make a huge difference right from the get go. As for the rest of the hardware specifications, many of them do look as though nothing’s going to change, including a similar quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, an Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory.
It is a good thing then, that the rear camera will now be 8MP, which is a fair upgrade from the previous 5MP shooter, in addition to having a 2MP shooter in front for all of you selfie lovers out there. At the end of it all, the Motorola XT1063 will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat right out of the box.
