Moto G Sequel Releases On September 10th [Rumor]

The sequel to Motorola’s relatively affordable Moto G smartphone has been in the rumor mill for the past couple of weeks and if latest word is to be believed then the device might be launched next month. We hear today that the device, commonly referred to as the Moto G2 and Moto G+1, is going to be released on September 10th. Motorola has not officially confirmed the date as yet.

This isn’t the only new product that people are waiting on Motorola to release. The company is also due to release its Moto X successor as well as its Moto 360 smartwatch. Some believe that the Moto X+1 and Moto 360 will be released together in September as well.

GSMArena reports today, citing a retailer which apparently got this information from a Motorola representative, that the Moto G successor will have a 5-inch display and dual SIM support. Apparently some retailers who receive first batches towards the end of August but they will only not be allowed to sell them before September 10th.

Moto G+1 or Moto G2 is expected to have a 5-inch 720p display with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor under the hood aided by 1GB RAM and Adreno 305 graphics processor. 8 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front cameras are expected alongside 8GB internal storage and Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

According to the report the device will be priced around €250, that’s roughly a 25 percent increase over the existing price of Moto G. The company hasn’t commented on this report so it would be best to take it with a grain of salt for now.
