A few days ago, we reported that LG had teased that they would be launching a new smartwatch with a round face that would look more like a traditional watch, as opposed to hi-tech piece of gadgetry. We can only assume the hype and excitement around the Moto 360 probably got LG thinking that they needed a new design.
That being said, LG has since released a teaser image on their Google+ page which more or less reveals the design of their upcoming watch. Now as you can see in the image above, the design of the company’s new smartwatch (which has tentatively been dubbed the LG G Watch R) definitely looks a bit more traditional.
Unfortunately apart from the teaser image, LG did not reveal any of the watch’s specs. However as per the teaser image, it seems that LG will be unveiling the device at IFA 2014 which will be kicking off next week, so be sure to check back with us then for the details! In the meantime it seems that LG will not be the only one looking to release a new smartwatch at the event.
ASUS has recently teased a smartwatch of their own making which is also expected to debut at IFA 2014. However ASUS’ design seems to be more square than round, but perhaps it could sport an interesting enough design to capture our attention, but either way tune in during IFA 2014 for more coverage!
