While the LG G Watch has gone on sale not too long ago, a new report has been spotted, touting that the South Korean consumer electronics giant are beginning to prepare a sequel to that smartwatch. Yes sir, it seems as though LG has a game changer at hand (pun not intended) that will make its appearance at IFA that is happening early next month over in Berlin, Germany.
In this particular report, it was mentioned that LG has been “working on a September release for the new smartwatch alongside Google’s wearable platform. The IFA fair may be the venue to see the upgraded smartwatch.” Needless to say, much of it has remained secret, especially when it comes to the hardware details and specifications. Rumors do point to an OLED display that is a welcome change from that of the IPS LCD display, while a Qualcomm processor ought to run proceedings from within, and no one is ruling out the possibility of LG falling back on their very own Odin processors, either.
As for when the LG G Watch 2 will roll out officially to the masses, that remains to be seen, although some overzealous speculations have pointed to it going up against the fabled iWatch. What do you think?
