It was just a couple of days ago when we brought you word that HTC will be making sure that their HTC Zoe app will be released onto other non-HTC devices in the near future, and it looks as though the wait is over as the new Zoe app has just rolled out in open beta today. Fret not if you do not own a HTC-branded smartphone, as the Zoe open beta will arrive on selected Samsung, LG and Google-branded devices.
It is definitely nice to see HTC expand their user base in terms of software, and not having to rely on hardware alone is a clever move to help maintain the overall profitability of the company. In fact, for all that you have heard what HTC Zoe is capable of in the past, you can now enjoy the same for yourself – all without having to purchase a HTC handset in the first place.
The Zoe app is the brainchild of Creative Labs, a new HTC software division. Now, don’t mix this up with the company that does the Sound Blaster range of products. While the Zoe open beta app has been a placeholder in close to half a year, do bear with the wait a little while longer, as it should be on track to be released as a full version some time later this fall.
