HTC, fresh from having introduced the HTC One (M8) for Windows, are not quite done with rolling out new smartphones yet it seems. After sending out invitations to “Save the Date” for an “IFA Breakfast” session by HTC, there have been whispers of HTC delivering an octa-core 64-bit Android-powered smartphone, where some have said that it would fall under the “Desire” range, meaning it will not be on the high end side of things. Well, this time around, a teaser image has appeared that shows off the digits “820”.
If that is the case, then one will naturally veer in the direction of the HTC Desire range, after all, we all know that 820 comes after 816, which is where the last HTC Desire device stopped at. Apparently, the HTC Desire 820 smartphone, if it rolls out, will be based on Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 610 or 615 SoCs. Will it run on the octa-core Snapdragon 615? Perhaps, since the HTC Desire 816 carries a quad-core CPU, so something that is octa-core would be a natural progression.
Well, I guess all that we can do now would be to sit tight and wait for September 4th to roll by, as that would be when all will be revealed on an official basis. Are you looking forward to the possible HTC Desire 820?
