HTC One (M8) For Windows Specifications Leaked

The HTC One (M8) for Windows (what a mouthful!) has certainly come under the spotlight from time to time in recent times, which is to be expected since the smartphone is nigh on the verge of release. Rumored to grace the Old Continent as well as being spotted on Verizon’s servers, here we are with word that this 19th of August, HTC is tipped to roll out the HTC One (M8) for Windows. This will run, of course, on the Windows Phone platform instead of Android as the first HTC One (M8) came with, and it if anything, the leaked hardware specifications can be found right after the jump.

Slated to be available for purchase a couple of days after the announcement of the smartphone, which would be the 21st of August, chances are pretty high that everything else underneath the hood will remain the same as that of the Android-powered version.

We are looking at a 5” Super LCD3 display complete with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and your eyes will dance to the tune of 1080 x 1920 resolution alongside 441ppi pixel density. There will also be a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory. Just in case all of that are not enough, you can also opt to rock on to another 128GB of storage space thanks to the microSD memory card slot, with the Duo camera thrown into the mix as well, not to mention a 5MP wide-angle front-facing camera. With Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 arriving right out of the box, it would also equate to Cortana being part of the deal.

As for its pricing, it could very well begin at $199.99 with a 2-year contract.
